Details
Only a few moments old, dawn moves across the landscape awakening the landscape’s blues to begin to hold onto the morning’s light. Yellows and reds emerge beyond the background’s mountain ridge and are cradled by the quiet pool of water at the center.
Connoisseur's Note
This impression, with a light blue coloration, is a rare color variant. This version of the design has a stronger atmospheric quality with a subtler coloration than the commercial version found in the catalog raisonne. The print bears the appropriate early seal making this impression a true first state.
