Details

In Hasui's woodblock print titled "Winter Moon Over Toyama Plain," the ethereal beauty of a winter's night is captured with breathtaking elegance. Against a backdrop of deep blue, the night sky gradually lightens as it ascends towards a rising full moon, casting an enchanting glow over the landscape. A group of three tall bare tree extend their branches towards the heavens, their silhouette stark against the luminous orb of the moon. Beneath, a faint veil of fog hovers gently above the Toyama Plain, diffusing the moonlight and adding a sense of mystery to the scene. Two tranquil puddles dot the plain, their still waters reflecting the slender trunks of the trees and capturing the shifting colors of the evening sky.
