Details
This catalogue produced in 1994 is for the second retrospective on the Sosaku Hanga artist, Onchi Koshiro. This exhibition drew upon the world's top institutions as well as private sources in order to showcase 286 woodblock prints, lithos, drawings, oil paintings, and books as well as sculpture and photos. Though there is another excellent retrospective catalogue on the artist that was produced in 2016, this reference is still relevant due to the various prints and objects illustrated here and not showcased elsewhere, and the well-written essays penned in English. This book’s relatively smaller size makes it easier to handle and search through than the other larger references available on the artist.
